Part of what make Georgia wine so interesting is the farm environment. All the tasting rooms we’ve visited are in the vineyards. Many were working farms of one sort or another prior to becoming a vineyard. This casual, homey atmosphere welcomes you to the vineyard and then there’s the tasting.
Three Sisters is the oldest commercial vineyard and winery in North Georgia. The wines are 100% made from grapes grown at this vineyard. Each sampled (and bought!) were very good. I (Jerry) like earthy, woody reds and Joan likes anything sweet. Three Sisters makes enough varieties to make both of us happy. The wine bar car be very social if you want it to be. Easy to strike up a conversation about the wines and travel. We even met a couple who are RV full timers and iLoveRVlife viewers. Equally important is the “feel” of the tasting room. Chad created a great experience, sharing how Three Sisters Vineyards makes their wines, history of the vineyard and surrounding area, just making the visit so much fun.
As with many of the vineyards, Three Sisters is a popular wedding destination. I’ll leave the explanation to the video. Just trust me on this one – Stunning!
Hope you get a chance to come to North Georgia and experience these wonderful vineyards and Three Sisters should be at the top of your list.
