San Antonio River Walk
The River Walk has many of the major hotels with the larger chains providing ample convention space. Near the end of the Walk is the San Antonio Convention Center. The day we visited, the Center held a video gaming convention with most attending dressed in wild costumes.
For $8.00, you can take a boat tour of the river. We had a great tour guide who was both entertaining and informative. He provided a great history tour along the river along with humor. The tour is about an hour and well worth your time.
You should consider one of the many culinary delights along the walk. Great restaurants offer inside dining or for the warmer days, tables alongside of the river. Along with great food, many have live entertainment. One evening from a past visit we ran into a great blues act. Later in the evening and several restaurants down we found an amazing local tejano band.
So much fun and much to do, the River Walk is a great way to spend an afternoon or evening in San Antonio.
