Creating a RV Vanity and Make up Area

by | Sep 2, 2018

I created a RV vanity for Joan. She uses this area to dry her hair, put on make-up and doing the girly things she so enjoys. We choose not to put a washer and dryer in our RV and the space was wasted. Some may disagree, but we would rather us a campground laundry and knock our wash day out in a couple of hours.

The vanity was a very simple project. It’s nothing more than a small piece of plywood cut to fit with two short pieces of wood on each side to screw into the RV closet area. I could have painted, but I had a small piece of laminate to finish the top. I also made a simple drawer with slides and added some divider shelves with the left over wood adding to each side to store make-up, hair products, etc.

This project has actually increased the space in the RV by freeing up the bathroom so I can shower while Joan finishes her primping before we hit the town. Home run on this one.
