We have been on the lookout for an economical and portable power system robust enough to operate the appliances and devices in our 5th wheel. We found a solution with the OUPES 1100W Portable Power Station and the two supplied portable 100 watt solar panels. Now we have the ability to run toasters, coffee makers, TVs, fans and most surprising, our microwave and residential refrigerator.
This is going to be a game changer for our long trips between campgrounds. OUPES provided the OUPES 1100W Portable Power Station and OUPES 100W Portable Solar Panels for this review and our usage test results could not have been more positive.
OUPES 1100W Portable Power Station
The OUPES 1100W Portable Power Station is a great solution for RV travels and camping where moderate power needs exist. The unit is equipped with the following power outputs:
There are 3 methods used to charge the OUPES 1100W Portable Power Station.
- OUPES portable solar panels
- An 110V AC wall outlet using the supplied power brick
- 12V DC car accessory adapter
Charge times range from 6 to 8 hours for the 110 AC brick, 10 to 12 hours for the 12V DC car accessory adapter and 12 plus hours for the solar panels depending on sun availability.
The OUPES 1100W Portable Power Station contains a BMS battery management system for over-voltage protection, over-current protection, and over-heat protection. The 110V AC is supplied by a pure-sine wave inverter providing reliable power for sensitive electronics such as a laptop or television.
OUPES 100W Portable Solar Panels
OUPES 100W Portable Solar Panels are lightweight and fold into a small 8 pound carry package. Each panel is provided with built-in kickstands and connecting power cable. Peak power for the panel has a maximum capability of 18V DC and 100 watts and when used as a pair with the supplied combining adapter doubles the wattage when connected to the OUPES 100W Portable Power Station.
Our Test and Use Results
Testing the OUPES 100W Portable Power Station exceeded our expectations. The video below shows the results and how each test was performed. We want to show how the power station can be used in a practical use environment using kitchen appliances, microwave, residential refrigerator, TV and fans. We pushed the limits for some appliances, but we found the overall results will make a huge difference in our travels when overnight or midway travel stops are required now giving us the ability to have added creature comforts.
