Get Rid of Stink Bugs in Your RV
They are tricky little devils, able to flatten their bodies and squeeze in through the smallest of cracks. For us, the worse place has been around our windows where those thin weep holes exist. The stink bug will flatten, squeeze through the hole, enter between the screen and then fly all around the RV. Yuck! We have seen a few squeeze around the rubber seals that prevents water from entering around the slides.
We’ve had good success so far with this fix. It’s safe, pet and kid friendly and actually smells good. Dryer sheets. That’s right, April Fresh Downy Dryer Sheets. Other brands and scents may work, but this is what we had in the camper, tried it and so far so good.
Wipe around the edges of the windows. Pay particular attention where the weep holes are located. Wipe the rubber gaskets around the slides. Also hang a few on the awning, the back and front of the camper. We have not had another entry for the nuisance stink bug since we wiped and hung the dryer sheets.
Hope you are able to get rid of the stink bugs in your RV as we combat this year’s stink bug apocalypse.
