Camper Remodel – Rebuilding Kitchen Island – Part 6

We’re nearing the end to the project and the results are better than expected. Here the camper remodel – rebuilding kitchen island begins. Once we saw how the island had been built at the factory, we determined that additional structure was needed to make the island stable for travel. It was a bit of a jigsaw puzzle, but we were able rebuild the frame without the odd angle, giving us much more space for the pots and pans. This was an unexpected win that we didn’t foresee when we started the remodel. Today, we’ll take you through the frame rebuild. In Part 7, we’ll complete the island, reclaiming the outer skin and prepare to order the new sink and counter top.
