Camper Kitchen – Adding a New Backsplash
It was a simple project. Costs around $30 and took simple tools. We used gel tiles. No problem cutting with a razor knife and sharp scissors. It was really easy. Just ensure you have a clean, grease free surface, then peal and stick. There was no mess and no grout to deal with.
One thing you should note before you consider a similar project. There should be at least 12″ between the stove burner and the wall where the tiles will be installed. Not all tiles are the same, so read the instructions before purchase to ensure the tiles you’re considering will work in your application.
The camper kitchen mod is amazing. Removing the factory backsplash that looked like a last minute, second thought and now adding the new gel tiles gave the kitchen the extra wow factor.
It took less than an hour and a half to complete. The expression on Joan’s face when she saw the new backsplash was priceless.
So if you’re looking for a low cost project to update your camper kitchen, these gel tiles may be something you want to consider.
